All Genders Queer Swing this Sat.

Sat. May 18th there will be a beginner East Coast Swing workshop from 11:30am-12:15pm. A few basic moves will be covered, and each participant can choose whether they would like to lead or follow.

The short workshop is part of Queerposium, at James Bay New Horizons (234 Menzies) in Lekwungen Territories. The workshop will be taught by two people who are encouraging local swing communities to be more gender-inclusive/ gender-neutral.

Also, some folks from the All Genders Queer Social Dance Collective plans to do some field trips (“rainbow flocking”) to local swing and blues dance classes and events in the next couple months. To be added to the group’s listserv, send an email.

Queering Salsa ~ March 1st

On Friday March 1^st, an informal Queering dance network is going as a group to Club Salsa at the Victoria Event Centre (1415 Broad Street), which has an elevator.
